Adult Manners Or Puppy Manners
Does your dog or puppy struggle with bad manners like pulling on the leash, house training, commands and more? Our 6-week program can help you and your furry friend work better together and overall improve their manners. We know how difficult it can be to train you dog and we want to take the frustration and guess work out of it. We offer an adult manners class for any dog over 1 year old and a puppy manners class for any puppies from 12 weeks to 1 year.
The purpose of this class is to teach good owner/dog communication, and basic manners. You will learn how to communicate with your dog using positive, reward-based training. Some of the topics that will be discussed in class are kenneling, housetraining, cues versus commands, how the dog learns and the best methods to use to train your dog.
This class teaches basic manners using focus, impulse control and obedience behaviors and techniques. You and your dog will learn the classic sit, lay, stay, wait and loose leash walking. In addition, we work on impulse control and focus using techniques such as name recognition, touch and leave it. The equipment that you will need for this class is a comfortable harness – leash system and high value rewards (such as cheese chicken or hotdogs).
Adult Manners is a six-week group class for dogs over one year of age. All breeds and sizes of dogs are welcome. They must be fully vaccinated at the time the class begins.
Puppy Manners is a six-week group class for puppies 12 weeks to one year old. All breeds and sizes of puppies are welcome. They must have at least two sets of vaccinations at the time the class begins.
